In 2022, production of mangoes, mangosteens and guavas was finally on the rise to reach 815 tons after two years of decline. Over the period under review, production, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Mango and mangosteen production peaked at 845 tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, production failed to regain momentum. Mango and mangosteen output in the United States indicated a relatively flat trend pattern, which was largely conditioned by a relatively flat trend pattern of the harvested area and a relatively flat trend pattern in yield figures.
In value terms, mango and mangosteen production fell to $1.5M in 2022. The total output value increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the period from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. As a result, the yield reached the peak level of 22 tons per ha. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the average mango and mangosteen yield failed to regain momentum.
