Stationery Product Price in Slovakia (FOB) - 2023

The average stationery product export price stood at $3,413 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 4.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 15% m-o-m. The export price peaked in June 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($4,164 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($2,379 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,419 per ton. From March 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($7,615 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($1,571 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+10.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Stationery product exports from Slovakia fell modestly to 12K tons in 2022, with a decrease of -3.9% compared with the previous year. Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 16% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 13K tons, and then dropped in the following year.
