Transistor Price in China (FOB) - 2022
The average transistor export price stood at $305 per unit in 2022, with an increase of 26% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, transistor export price increased by +74.2% against 2017 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 40% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($465 per unit), while the average price for exports to India ($136 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transistor Price in China (CIF) - 2022
The average transistor import price stood at $731 per unit in 2022, dropping by -14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $850 per unit in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($1,150 per unit), while the price for South Korea ($316 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Transistor Exports in China
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of transistors, other than photosensitive transistors, when their volume decreased by -16% to 27M units. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 15%. The exports peaked at 32M units in 2021, and then declined markedly in the following year.
In value terms, transistor exports rose sharply to $8.2B in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +67.3% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 35%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Transistor Imports in China
In 2022, approx. 6.3M units of transistors, other than photosensitive transistors were imported into China; with an increase of 102% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. Imports peaked at 8M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, transistor imports soared to $4.6B in 2022. Overall, imports posted modest growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
