Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +8.4% from 2012-2022. Taiwan (Chinese) experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, South Korea (-2.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+5.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Thailand and South Korea saw its share reduced by -1.6% and -2.1% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($952M) remains the largest twine, cordage or textile net supplier worldwide, comprising 41% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Vietnam ($163M), with a 7% share of global exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 4.5% share.

In China, twine, cordage or textile net exports expanded at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Vietnam (+4.9% per year) and Thailand (-0.2% per year).

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average export price for nets of twine, cordage, rope or textile materials amounted to $5,218 per ton, surging by 4% against the previous year.
