For the fourth consecutive year, the global pineapple market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by X% to $X in 2022. In general, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the global market remained at a lower figure.

The global average pineapple yield declined slightly to X tons per ha in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the yield, however, showed a mild increase. Over the period under review, the average pineapple yield hit record highs at X tons per ha in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the yield remained at a lower figure. Pineapple Exports

In 2022, overseas shipments of pineapples decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the third consecutive year after four years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the global exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, pineapple exports stood at $X in 2022.
