Kyrgyzstan represented the major importer of peas (dry) in the CIS, with the volume of imports recording X tons, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. Kazakhstan (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Uzbekistan (X%). The following importers - Russia (X tons), Tajikistan (X tons), Belarus (X tons) and Moldova (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest dry peas importing markets in the CIS were Kyrgyzstan ($X), Russia ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports.

Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2023, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by X% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton.
