In value terms, seat exports surged to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate pronounced growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X units) and Belarus (X units) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units), generating a X% share of total exports. Armenia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia dominates imports structure, accounting for X units, which was near X% of total imports in 2023. Kazakhstan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with an X% share, followed by Belarus (X%). Armenia (X units), Uzbekistan (X units), Azerbaijan (X units) and Moldova (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%), Belarus (X%), Armenia (X%), Moldova (X%) and Azerbaijan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.) and Belarus (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2023, the share of Kazakhstan (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported seats in the CIS, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia totaled X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (X% per year) and Belarus (X% per year).

Import Prices by Country
