Hungary experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of glucose and glucose syrup. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, glucose imports surged to $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, posted a slight increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Poland (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the largest importers of glucose and glucose syrup in Eastern Europe, together mixing up X% of total imports.
