Exports from Latvia

After six years of growth, shipments abroad of carpets and other textile floor coverings decreased by X% to X square meters in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X square meters in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, carpet exports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Lithuania (X square meters), Estonia (X square meters) and Russia (X square meters) were the main destinations of carpet exports from Latvia, together accounting for X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Lithuania (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
