Glucose Market Size in the Middle East

In 2023, the Middle Eastern glucose market decreased by X% to $X for the first time since 2019, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market reached the maximum level at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, glucose imports fell to $X in 2023. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2022 an increase of X%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, leveling off in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($X per ton), while Syrian Arab Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
