Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.

Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main destinations of nutmeg, mace and cardamom exports from Poland, with a combined X% share of total exports. Portugal, the Czech Republic, Spain, Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia, Russia, France, Greece and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for nutmeg, mace and cardamom exported from Poland were Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and Portugal ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports.

Italy, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average nutmeg, mace and cardamom export price amounted to $X per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Imports into Poland

After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of nutmeg, mace and cardamoms decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2019 indices.
