Market Size for Hardwood Veneer and Plywood in the U.S.

The U.S. hardwood veneer and plywood market dropped slightly to $X in 2019, falling by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% year-to-year. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X cubic meters in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2019, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, hardwood veneer and plywood imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2019. Over the period under review, imports recorded slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2018, and then declined significantly in the following year.
