Exports

In 2022, shipments abroad of barytes increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The global exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, baryte exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

India was the main exporter of barytes in the world, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Morocco (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by China (X%) and Mexico (X%). Turkey (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Kazakhstan (X tons) and Iran (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to baryte exports from India stood at X%. At the same time, Iran (X%), Mexico (X%), the Netherlands (X%), Turkey (X%), Kazakhstan (X%) and Morocco (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Iran emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, China (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
