Capacitor Exports

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of electrical capacitors, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. Overall, total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, capacitor exports reduced to $X in 2022. It was distantly followed by Hong Kong SAR (X units), Malaysia (X units), Belgium (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and South Korea (X units), together comprising a X% share of total exports. Japan (X units), Germany (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and Singapore (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. Moreover, Belgium emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Singapore (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (X p.p.), Malaysia (X p.p.) and Belgium (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong SAR saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by X%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per thousand units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
