Photo Camera Exports

In 2022, overseas shipments of photographic (other than cinematographic) cameras increased by X% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the global exports hit record highs at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, photo camera exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the global exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

China represented the key exporting country with an export of about X units, which recorded X% of total exports. Thailand (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by the Netherlands (X units), the Philippines (X units) and Germany (X units). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Hong Kong SAR (X units) and the United States (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to photo camera exports from China stood at X%. At the same time, the Netherlands (X%) and Thailand (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Hong Kong SAR experienced a relatively flat trend pattern.
