Tantalum Exports

For the third consecutive year, the global market recorded growth in overseas shipments of tantalum, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The global exports peaked at X tons in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

In value terms, tantalum exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a slight contraction. The global exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

In 2022, the United States (X tons), China (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Japan (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) represented the main exporter of tantalum in the world, making up X% of total export. It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), making up a X% share of total exports. Estonia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Estonia (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
