Gambia (X units) and Sierra Leone (X units) were the main exporters of inductors in 2023, resulting at approx. X% and X% of total exports, respectively. Guinea (X units) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Ghana (X%). The following exporters - Mali (X units) and Senegal (X units) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of X%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, inductor imports expanded rapidly to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2023, Nigeria (X units) represented the largest importer of inductors, comprising X% of total imports. Benin (X units) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Senegal (X%), Guinea (X%) and Gambia (X%). Burkina Faso (X units) and Togo (X units) took a minor share of total imports.
Nigeria experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of inductors. At the same time, Benin (X%), Togo (X%), Gambia (X%), Guinea (X%), Senegal (X%) and Burkina Faso (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Benin emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in ECOWAS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023.
