Spain continued its dominance in the global peach and nectarine trade. In 2014, Spain exported 911 thousand tonnes of peaches and nectarines totaling 957 million USD, 5% under the previous year. Its primary trading partner on the global peach market was Germany, where it supplied 24% of its total peach and nectarine exports in value terms, accounting for 64% of Germany's total imports.

From 2007 to 2014, Spain was a net exporter of peaches and nectarines. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. In physical terms, the difference was at the same level or less pronounced.

Italy and the U.S. were among the other main global suppliers of peaches and nectarines in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were China (+42% per year) and Lithuania (+27% per year). Spain strengthened its position in the global export structure.

In 2014, Spain's top 5 trading partners were Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, with a combined 65% share of Spain's peach and nectarine exports. The share of Germany increased (+5 percentage points), while the share of France illustrated negative dynamics (-5 percentage points).
