Moreover, China emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +48.0% from 2012-2022. While the share of the Netherlands (+11 p.p.), Germany (+4.6 p.p.), China (+4.1 p.p.), Spain (+4.1 p.p.), Poland (+2.1 p.p.) and Hong Kong SAR (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of the UK (-2 p.p.), Canada (-10.1 p.p.) and the United States (-19.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Peru ($1.4B), the Netherlands ($706M) and Spain ($507M) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 53% share of global exports.

Peru, with a CAGR of +122.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average blueberry and cranberry export price amounted to $4,998 per ton, which is down by -12.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 9.3%. The global export price peaked at $5,693 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
