Cold-Rolled Steel Imports By Country

In 2016, China (X tons), South Korea (X tons), and Japan (X tons) were the main importers of cold-rolled steel in the world, achieving X% of total import. Belgium (X tons) held a X% share (based on tons) of global cold-rolled steel imports, which put it in second place, following Russia (X%), and India (X%). The U.S. (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons), Ukraine (X tons), Kazakhstan (X tons), and Malaysia (X tons) followed a long way behind this figure.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of cold-rolled steel imports, among the main importing countries, was attained by India (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($X), the U.S. ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared as the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, together accounting for X% of global imports. In 2016, the average import price for cold-rolled steel amounted to $X per ton, declining by -X% against the previous year. In general, cold-rolled steel import price continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008, when import price increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, average cold-rolled steel import price reached its maximum level of $X per ton in 2011- however, from 2012 to 2016, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Import prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest import prices was the U.S. ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was among the lowest.
