Almond Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average almond import price amounted to $9,473 per ton, flattening at the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 24%. The import price peaked at $12,107 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($23,968 per ton), while the price for Italy ($6,380 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Almond Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
The average almond export price stood at $9,673 per ton in 2022, surging by 12% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 165%. The export price peaked at $11,151 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Montenegro ($15,400 per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($8,138 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (-0.1%).
Almond Imports in Slovenia
In 2022, the amount of almonds imported into Slovenia reduced to 41 tons, dropping by -5.4% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded a dramatic shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 17% against the previous year.
