From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +24.3%), while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($2.2B), Bangladesh ($1.9B) and India ($1.1B) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 53% of global exports. Spain, Vietnam, Cambodia, Poland, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Germany, the Netherlands, France and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

The United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +34.3%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices By Country

In 2022, the average baby garment export price amounted to $2.9 per unit, with an increase of 3.2% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 10% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3 per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
