Green Coffee Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average green coffee import price stood at $3,538 per ton in July 2023, with an increase of 9.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $3,746 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Brazil ($4,149 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($2,435 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Green Coffee Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average green coffee export price amounted to $3,831 per ton, shrinking by -3.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 57% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $7,195 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($16,647 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($3,202 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Green Coffee Imports in Poland
In 2022, purchases abroad of coffee (green) decreased by -6.6% to 120K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 4.3% against the previous year.
In value terms, green coffee imports surged to $411M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +17.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +63.5% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Green Coffee Exports in Poland
In 2022, exports of coffee (green) from Poland skyrocketed to 2.5K tons, increasing by 76% compared with the previous year. Overall, total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +14.5% over the last three years.
