Orange Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average orange export price stood at $417 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -17.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 123% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $649 per ton. From December 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($853 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($82.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+30.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Orange Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average orange import price stood at $561 per ton in July 2023, dropping by -10.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 271% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $662 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Cyprus.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Egypt amounted to +4.8% per month.
