The country with the largest volume of plastic bag production was China (9.8M tons), accounting for 22% of total volume. Moreover, plastic bag production in China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, the United States (2.8M tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Brazil (1.8M tons), with a 4.1% share.
