The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,621 per ton in December 2023, dropping by -2.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 29% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,119 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,649 per ton), while the price for Mexico stood at $1,561 per ton.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (-0.7%).

In December 2023, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $930 per ton, growing by 3.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 15% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,013 per ton. From July 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to -0.2% per month.
