In November 2023, the average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $752 per ton, waning by -2.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.9% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $800 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +0.5% per month.

In 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $2,920 per ton, shrinking by -11.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a moderate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 56%. The export price peaked at $3,291 per ton in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Macao SAR.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the UK amounted to +2.1% per year.

In 2022, purchases abroad of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds decreased by -43.8% to 318K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, imports recorded a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 11% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 617K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds declined remarkably to $231M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $307M.
