In 2022, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $805 per ton, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a modest increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 81% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,526 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($2,458 per ton), while the price for Moldova ($311 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+16.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average grapes; fresh or dried export price amounted to $1,519 per ton, picking up by 7.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a mild downturn. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($4,098 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($686 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of grapes; fresh or drieds, when their volume decreased by -25.2% to 16K tons. Overall, imports, however, recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 104% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 21K tons, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
