In 2022, the average import price for spices; cardamoms, neither crushed nor ground amounted to $14,361 per ton, with a decrease of -32.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, posted buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 56%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $21,416 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
