The average export price for spices; cardamoms, neither crushed nor ground stood at $12,217 per ton in 2022, declining by -34.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 38%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $25,163 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($12,217 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($12,196 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Pakistan (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
