The following exporters - Guatemala (X tons), the Dominican Republic (X tons), Costa Rica (X tons), Argentina (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and El Salvador (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.
Mexico was also the fastest-growing in terms of the sweet biscuits exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, the Dominican Republic (X%), Peru (X%), Colombia (X%), Guatemala (X%), Brazil (X%) and Costa Rica (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Argentina (X%) and El Salvador (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Mexico (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Costa Rica, Brazil, El Salvador and Argentina saw its share reduced by X%, X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively. In Mexico, sweet biscuit exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2023. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Peru (X% per year) and Guatemala (X% per year).

In 2023, the export price in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to $X per ton, picking up by X% against the previous year. Imports in Latin America and the Caribbean
After six years of growth, overseas purchases of sweet biscuits decreased by X% to X tons in 2023. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2022, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
In value terms, sweet biscuit imports stood at $X in 2023. Total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2023: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices.
