As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, chocolate exports soared to $X in 2023. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable curtailment. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Turkey was the key exporter of chocolate and other food preparations containing cocoa in the Middle East, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. Saudi Arabia (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. Oman (X tons) took a little share of total exports.
Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Saudi Arabia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Saudi Arabia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. Oman experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (X p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2023, the share of the United Arab Emirates (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. In terms of the main exporting countries, Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
In 2023, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage.
