From 2016 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, confectionery-making industrial machinery exports soared to $X in 2023. Overall, exports posted a moderate expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Namibia (X units) and South Africa (X units) prevails in exports structure, together generating X% of total exports. The following exporters - Angola (X units), Botswana (X units), Mauritius (X units) and Swaziland (X units) - each recorded an X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Namibia (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Angola (X units), Zambia (X units) and Madagascar (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Tanzania was also the fastest-growing in terms of the industrial machinery for the manufacture or preparation of confectionery, cocoa or chocolate imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Zimbabwe (X%), Mozambique (X%), Angola (X%) and Madagascar (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Zambia (X%) and South Africa (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Tanzania (X p.p.), Zimbabwe (X p.p.) and Mozambique (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2023, the share of Zambia (X p.p.) and South Africa (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
