The average current-carrying wiring device import price stood at $440 per thousand units in August 2023, with an increase of 4.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 13% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $0.4 per unit. From May 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($718 per thousand units), while the price for Brazil ($36.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In August 2023, the average current-carrying wiring device export price amounted to $250 per thousand units, picking up by 8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month.
