The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,345 per ton in 2022, waning by -16.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 186%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,619 per ton in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($1,358 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates stood at $1,020 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+10.5%).
