The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $400 per ton in 2022, surging by 3.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 57% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $619 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lao People's Democratic Republic ($467 per ton), while the price for Myanmar ($134 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lao People's Democratic Republic (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $446 per ton in January 2024, with a decrease of -11.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 72% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $723 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to January 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Cambodia ($530 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($290 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cambodia (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
