The average export price for vegetables, brassica; brussel sprouts, fresh or chilleds stood at $1,923 per ton in 2022, waning by -7.7% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for vegetables, brassica; brussel sprouts, fresh or chilleds increased by +70.3% against 2016 indices. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 354% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,730 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Netherlands amounted to -0.9% per month.
