Fonio production in Togo expanded modestly to 4.5K tons in 2022, with an increase of 1.8% compared with 2021 figures. The total output volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2017 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years.
