In 2022, the amount of millet produced in Saudi Arabia reduced to 12K tons, waning by -1.9% compared with the year before. In general, the total production indicated a strong expansion from 2017 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.2% over the last five-year period. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the period from 2017 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 47%. As a result, the yield reached the peak level of 2.5 tons per ha. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the average millet yield failed to regain momentum.
