The average spices; saffron import price stood at $392,074 per ton in 2022, picking up by 118% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a noticeable setback. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $527,594 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
