Toy Price in Finland (CIF) - 2023
The average toy import price stood at $20,246 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -3.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 19% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $20,943 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($32,905 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($11,533 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average toy export price stood at $7,871 per ton in June 2023, waning by -22.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 42% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $33,770 per ton. From January 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Norway ($20,319 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($2,215 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Toy Imports in Finland
In 2022, the amount of dolls and toys imported into Finland expanded modestly to 8.8K tons, growing by 2.3% against the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years.
