Toy Price in France (CIF) - 2023
The average toy import price stood at $15,700 per ton in June 2023, approximately reflecting the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 16% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $16,191 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($26,672 per ton), while the price for China ($12,316 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Toy Price in France (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average toy export price amounted to $14,399 per ton, which is down by -18.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a slight downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 21% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $18,600 per ton. From December 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($20,520 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($6,673 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Toy Imports in France
In 2022, approx. 186K tons of dolls and toys were imported into France; reducing by -6.8% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
